As most of us who have ever been addicted or have known an addict know, a lot of the tendencies to relapse have nothing to do with a physical need for our drug of choice. For some that may be the case, but for a lot of those in recovery the triggers are completely mentally driven. Falling into a way of thinking or a behavior is enough to drawl one back into a life that they’ve long ago stepped out of.
Behavioral relapse is a huge problem from those in recovery. Just like every human being, addicts also have good days and bad days. The drive to escape through drugs, alcohol or even sex, can at times pull much stronger than even the addict could anticipate. It’s reported that one in three Americans suffer from some sort of addiction. This means that almost everyone we run into and every corner we turn, there are people suffering and battling their minds to stay sober.
